Frequently Asked Questions about ARMSTRONG FOILS
Everything you need to know before buying
Where is Armstrong Foils from?
A New Zealand brand founded by Armie Armstrong and a team of passionate riders from diverse professional backgrounds. Armstrong designs its foils in New Zealand with high-end carbon and titanium materials. Known for its modular A+ system, a unique platform compatible with all foil disciplines.
Which Armstrong foil should you choose to start wing foiling?
The HA (High Aspect) foil is our main recommendation for wing foiling. It offers early take-off, excellent pumping, and long-distance glide. For riders seeking more surf/wing versatility, the MA Mk2 is more forgiving and provides precise carving. Both are available in several sizes to suit rider weight and conditions.
What is the difference between HA and MA at Armstrong?
HA (High Aspect): elongated profile, excellent glide ratio, efficient glide, natural pumping. Ideal for wing foil freeride, downwind, and light wind. MA Mk2 (Mid Aspect): stockier, more instant lift, precise rail-to-rail carving, and quick recovery after a tack. Ideal for surf foil and wing in waves or strong wind. The MA is more forgiving, making it easier to progress.
What is Armstrong's A+ modular system?
The A+ system is Armstrong's connection platform between the mast and the fuselage. The 360° titanium/carbon connection allows you to orient the fuselage in any position to optimise the setup according to the discipline. A single mast is compatible with all HA, MA, UHA front wings and A-Wing wings, which significantly reduces the cost of upgrading your equipment.
How does the ARMSTRONG FOILS warranty work?
A 2-year legal warranty on all products. As an authorised retailer, GlissEvolution handles after-sales support directly. No need to send it to New Zealand.
