Where does Ozone come from?
A British brand founded in 1998 by paragliding pilots: Mike Cavanagh, David Pilkington, Rob Whittall and Matthew Taggart. Company registered in Scotland, headquarters in France, kite division in New Zealand. Ozone is the only kite brand to own its own factory, Parapex in Vietnam, with over 1000 employees, manufacturing exclusively for Ozone. This total control over production is what differentiates Ozone from all other brands.
What is Ozone's Ultra-X technology?
Ultra-X is Ozone's designation for models built with Aluula, an ultralight composite material that replaces traditional Dacron in the leading edge and struts. The result: much lighter, more reactive wings with better light wind performance. Available on the Edge VT Ultra-X, Flux Ultra-X and Vortex Ultra-X. Premium version, higher price, for demanding riders.
Which Ozone kite for big air?
The Edge VT is Ozone's benchmark big air kite, with 5 struts, explosive lift and strong wind control. Available in standard and Ultra-X (Aluula) versions for maximum weight savings. The Enduro is the more versatile alternative, with 3 struts, all-round freeride with boost, suitable for a wider audience.
Does Ozone offer wings and parawings?
Yes. The Flux is Ozone's all-round wing, available in standard and Ultra-X. The Fusion is freeride-oriented. For downwind, the Pocket Rocket is an ultra-compact pocket wing. All available at GlissEvolution.
Which Ozone bars are available?
The Contact Water V5 is the main bar for LEI kites (Edge, Enduro). The Foil Contact Water V5 is dedicated to Ozone foil kites. Both are in stock at GlissEvolution.
